Job Description

Ready to lead data engineering that powers critical financial decisions at scale? Looking to mentor engineers, drive delivery, and help shape the future of a growing data capability? At EDF, Success is Personal – and this is your opportunity to grow your leadership and engineering career your way.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Data Engineer within the Finance Data Squad, you'll lead the delivery of data products that underpin key financial systems and insights. Your work will directly support business performance, helping Finance make better decisions through high-quality, scalable data solutions.

Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, this role is flexible with occasional travel to our #Exeter or #London offices. You'll benefit from a hybrid approach that supports both focused work and collaborative team engagement.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that is still developing its data capability and have a genuine influence on its future direction. You'll work across the full data lifecycle, from ingestion and modelling through to reporting and insight generation, while helping to shape engineering standards, tooling choices and ways of working. Working with large and complex datasets, you'll play a key role in modernising how Finance uses data and analytics to drive business outcomes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
