Senior Data Engineer (Azure, Fabric)
Fully Remote - Up to £72,000 + Benefits
We’re supporting a leading international professional services organisation with a strong reputation in insurance, risk, and legal services as they build out a modern data capability from the ground up.
The business has been undergoing a huge push on how technology is utilised across their global teams, and now looking for a Senior Data Engineer to support the build of their greenfield data platform using Microsoft Fabric.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and scale a greenfield data platform using Microsoft Fabric
- Design and implement robust data pipelines, transformations, and orchestration using notebook-based development
- Apply modern CI/CD practices to data engineering workflows
- Develop high-quality solutions using Python and SQL
- Deliver scalable data models across Bronze/Silver/Gold (and enterprise-wide semantic layers)
- Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Contribute to best practice and engineering standards across the data function

This is a hands-on role where you’d be helping shape the Fabric platform from the ground up, working across modern CI/CD pipelines, Python and SQL-based engineering, notebook orchestration, and layered data modelling (Bronze/Silver/Gold). It’s a great fit for someone with expertise in Fabric who enjoys delivery, influence, and building things properly in a modern cloud environment.
