Data Engineer - Snowflake, dbt & Matillion | Up to £70,000 | Hybrid, Milton Keynes

We're recruiting on behalf of one of the world's leading sustainable automotive manufacturers - a company with over 50,000 employees globally, and a name most people in the industry will immediately recognise.

This is a great opportunity for a data engineer who wants to grow into a senior role, working within a collaborative Data, Automation & AI team on modern cloud data warehouse and visualisation solutions.

The Role

You'll help build and maintain data pipelines and analytical data assets using Snowflake, Matillion, dbt and related cloud data technologies, supporting analytics, automation and AI use cases across the organisation. You'll work alongside data specialists, privacy officers, business stakeholders and reporting teams to establish well-structured data warehouse layers, reusable transformation models, and visualisation-ready datasets for tools such as Power BI, Tableau and ThoughtSpot.

Day-to-day you'll be:

  • Developing and optimising Snowflake data warehouse solutions
  • Building, orchestrating and monitoring Matillion ELT pipelines
  • Writing dbt transformation models, tests and documentation
  • Working across staging, curated and mart-layer data architecture
  • Writing advanced SQL and contributing to dimensional data modelling
  • Integrating data from APIs, enterprise platforms and cloud storage into Snowflake-based data products
  • Supporting data governance, quality, lineage and audit routines
  • Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business and reporting requirements into scalable solutions
  • Working across multiple initiatives in a matrix organisation, using agile tools and practices

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
