About the Opportunity

An ambitious and fast-growing organisation is investing heavily in its technology, data and AI capabilities as part of a major transformation programme. With significant platform modernisation, cloud adoption and large-scale data initiatives underway, this is an opportunity to join at a pivotal stage and play a key role in shaping the future data landscape.

Working as part of a collaborative technology team, you'll take ownership of complex data engineering projects, helping to migrate, optimise and modernise critical data platforms while supporting the business's long-term growth plans. This is a highly visible role offering genuine influence, exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to mentor and develop less experienced team members.

This is a full-time, permanent position based predominantly onsite in Newcastle, working closely with colleagues across technology and the wider business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build and optimise data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Lead complex data migration and integration initiatives across multiple platforms.
  • Cleanse, transform and improve data quality within enterprise systems.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Support cloud-based data engineering initiatives within an AWS environment.
  • Contribute to the development of future AI and automation capabilities by ensuring data is accurate, accessible and fit for purpose.
  • Help establish best practice around data governance, architecture and engineering standards.
  • Mentor junior team members and support the ongoing development of internal capability.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to deliver business-critical projects.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
