Are you a Senior Data Engineer who enjoys leading complex engineering initiatives while remaining hands-on?
We're looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a high-performing data engineering team delivering enterprise-scale data platforms and products. You'll combine technical leadership with hands-on engineering, helping shape best practice while delivering reliable, scalable and secure data solutions.
What you'll be doing
- Lead the design, development and delivery of complex data pipelines and data products.
- Provide technical ownership across large-scale engineering initiatives.
- Drive engineering standards, automation and best practice across the team.
- Work closely with Data Owners, Architects and stakeholders to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
- Mentor engineers and promote knowledge sharing across the wider team.
- Lead investigations into production issues, root cause analysis and service improvements.
- Champion modern engineering practices, CI/CD and continuous improvement.

What we're looking for
- Extensive experience delivering enterprise data engineering solutions.
- Strong background building data pipelines and integrations.
- Excellent SQL and experience with technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle or Snowflake.
- Experience with cloud platforms including Azure or AWS.
- Strong scripting skills using SQL, Python or PowerShell.
- Experience with CI/CD, deployment automation and engineering best practice.
- Proven ability to provide technical leadership, mentor engineers and influence engineering direction.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
