Data Engineer
London - Up to £75,000
Hybrid – 3 days
A renowned, award-winning design and brand agency is hiring a Data Engineer to join a brand-new data function and help shape its data capabilities from the ground up.
You’ll have real ownership over the data platform, architecture and engineering practices, working closely with Finance, Operations, IT and external vendors.
The Role
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and integrations
- Develop integrations across SaaS platforms including NetSuite, CRM and HR systems
- Build pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and PySpark
- Develop REST API integrations using Python
- Design data models within a modern lakehouse architecture
- Build trusted datasets for Power BI and analytics
- Implement data quality, monitoring and testing
- Support data governance, security and future AI/Copilot initiatives
- Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions

What They're Looking For
- Strong commercial Data Engineering experience
- Advanced SQL and strong Python
- Hands-on PySpark/Spark
- Experience building production data pipelines and API integrations
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric or another lakehouse platform
- Good understanding of data modelling and ETL/ELT
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A pragmatic approach to building scalable, maintainable solutions

Package:
- Up to £75,000
- 3 days per week in Covent Garden
- 24 days holiday + last Friday of every month off (36 days of annual leave + bank holidays)

Interview:
Two stages – business/chemistry followed by a technical interview.
