Senior Azure Data Engineer / Developer
Azure | Data Engineering | Python | ETL/ELT
We’re looking for a Senior Azure Data Engineer / Developer to join the Enterprise Data team of an organisation making a real difference in the automotive industry.
This is a hands-on role focused on building and maintaining scalable Azure data pipelines, integrations and cloud solutions, with Python development forming an important part of the role.
What you'll be doing
- Build and maintain Azure-based data pipelines, integrations and ETL/ELT solutions
- Develop Python-based data solutions and work with APIs and multiple data sources
- Design automated batch and real-time data workflows
- Troubleshoot, optimise and support production data solutions
- Work with technical teams to deliver secure, scalable and governed data solutions

What we're looking for
- Strong commercial experience with Microsoft Azure and Data Engineering
- Good hands-on Python development experience
- Strong SQL and experience building data pipelines and integrations
- Experience with APIs, structured/semi-structured data and batch or real-time processing
- Experience with Git, DevOps and modern development practices
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Azure technologies
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Functions, Logic Apps, Synapse, Azure SQL or Service Bus would be beneficial.

You don’t need experience with every Azure service - we’re particularly interested in strong Azure Data Engineering professionals with solid Python skills and the ability to learn across the wider platform.
Desirable: Databricks/PySpark, Cosmos DB, Infrastructure as Code, AI/ML data integration, or automotive/insurance experience.
