Senior Snowflake Data Engineer (Data Vault & dbt)
London (Hybrid)
£750 per day Inside IR35
6-month rolling contract (long-term programme)
I'm currently working with a Global Financial Services organisation undertaking a major investment into its enterprise data platform.
This is a highly technical, hands-on Data Engineering role with a strong emphasis on Snowflake, Data Vault 2.0 and dbt. The focus is on building scalable, governed enterprise data products rather than platform ownership or infrastructure engineering.
The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and implementing enterprise data models, developing robust transformation frameworks and delivering trusted data products across a complex business environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Data Vault 2.0 models across enterprise datasets
- Build and maintain dbt projects covering transformation, testing and documentation
- Develop scalable ELT pipelines within Snowflake
- Create reusable business data models and curated data products
- Implement automated testing, data quality and reconciliation frameworks
- Optimise Snowflake performance and storage efficiency
- Integrate data from multiple internal and external source systems
- Collaborate with architects, data teams and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise data solutions

- Strong commercial Snowflake experience
- Strong dbt experience
- Hands-on Data Vault 2.0 implementation experience
- Strong SQL skills
- Python data engineering experience
- Experience with dimensional modelling
- Snowflake optimisation and performance tuning
- Automated testing and data quality frameworks
- Git and modern development practices
- Exposure to Airflow or Dagster
This role would suit someone who enjoys working deep within the Snowflake, dbt and Data Vault ecosystem and wants to help shape enterprise-scale data products within a long-term transformation programme.
