Senior Data Engineer
£70,000 - £80,000 + Excellent Benefits
Hybrid Working – 3 Days per Week in Office
A well-established global cybersecurity organisation is looking to appoint a Senior Data Engineer to join its growing AI and Data function. Operating across multiple international markets, the business is investing heavily in its data capabilities and is entering an exciting phase of growth, transformation, and modernisation.
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative team of data professionals spanning Data Engineering, Analytics, BI, and Data Science, where you'll play a key role in shaping the organisation's modern data platform and driving best practice across engineering.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and optimising scalable data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and AI initiatives across the business. You'll work closely with stakeholders across multiple functions, helping to deliver reliable, high-quality data products while influencing architecture and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain robust data pipelines and orchestration frameworks.
- Develop scalable data warehouse and lakehouse solutions.
- Lead data modelling activities to support a variety of business use cases.
- Drive improvements in data quality, governance, performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot complex data issues and optimise existing ETL processes.
- Collaborate closely with Analytics, BI, Data Science and wider business teams.
- Contribute to technical best practices, documentation and engineering standards.

Skills & Experience Required
- Strong experience as a Data Engineer in modern cloud-based environments.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark.
- Strong SQL and Python development skills.
- Experience building data warehouses, lakehouses and enterprise-scale data platforms.
- Knowledge of concepts including Medallion Architecture, Delta Lake, CDC, SCD and dimensional modelling.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Git repositories and CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to modern AI-enabled development tools.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
