Job Description
You will lead the data stream at an AI-native startup, owning production pipelines from architecture to execution. By building robust data structures in Snowflake and dbt, you’ll enable LLM-powered features and dashboards that fashion retailers depend on. This role combines deep data engineering with hands-on AI feature development in a fast-paced environment where your work drives commercial decisions.

Why this role is remarkable
- True ownership of the data platform at a seed-stage startup, where your architectural decisions directly shape the product’s long-term capability and performance.
- Work in an unapologetically AI-native environment backed by top-tier investors like AlbionVC and Entrepreneur First, where LLMs are core product features rather than add-ons.
- Join a high-caliber technical team that ships weekly, utilizing cutting-edge tools like Snowflake Cortex and Anthropic Claude to solve complex retail challenges for enterprise clients.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You Will Do
- Design, build, and maintain end-to-end production data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt, and Python to ingest complex commercial data from Shopify and PLM systems.

- Optimize system performance and infrastructure costs across AWS and Snowflake, identifying and fixing expensive queries before they impact the bottom line.
The ideal candidate
- Proven experience building and owning production-grade data pipelines at a startup, with a track record of making and living with high-level architectural calls.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with a deep understanding of modern data stacks and practical experience implementing LLM-based features or agents.
