We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help design, build, and continuously improve the data pipelines, models, and assets that underpin our data platform.
If you're passionate about data engineering, enjoy making the complex simple, and thrive in an environment focused on continuous improvement, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. We're looking for someone who can balance delivery pace with quality and resilience, collaborate effectively across technical and business teams, and help drive the evolution of our data platform and engineering capability.
We offer an informal hybrid working model, with a minimum of 8 office days every 4 weeks.
What you’ll be doing:

- Understanding of data testing, reconciliation, and data quality controls.
- Strong scripting or programming experience, particularly Python.
- Experience with orchestration, transformation, and version control tooling.
- Ability to work independently while balancing delivery speed with resilience and maintainability.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and business teams.
- SAS programming skills.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
