Role Overview
This is a new role within this business and has now become a point of investment as they see real value in what can be delivered as a full-time position. This is a role that will give you genuine visibility and impact in the business; an ideal role for an experienced Senior or Lead Data Engineer who wants to work on far more than just data pipelines.
You'll join an ambitious SaaS business that's building the next generation of software by combining AI, automation, and modern engineering practices. Technology sits at the core of everything they do, as long as the customer and product are solving the correct problems, and as the business continues to grow, they're investing heavily in both their products and the internal systems that support them.
The role has been created as they have reached the point where owning both the company's Data Engineering function and AI Operations has become too much for one person. You'll work closely alongside the CTO and Head of Engineering, taking ownership of a data and AI and helping shape how the organization scales over the coming years.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
