MCS Group is exclusively partnering with a successful, fast-growing technology company as it expands its Data Engineering team. This is a senior, hands-on role for an experienced engineer who is highly confident working with Python, SQL, and AWS. You will help build a modern data platform that transforms large volumes of complex, proprietary data into scalable analytics, AI capabilities, and customer-facing product features. This is not a traditional reporting role. You will be building production-grade data services, APIs, and pipelines that sit at the heart of the company's technology products.

This is a remote position for candidates based in the UK, and sponsorship is unfortunately unavailable.

The Role

The Senior Data Engineer will work closely with software engineers, product teams, data specialists, and technical leadership to design and deliver reliable, scalable data solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building robust data pipelines and backend data services using Python and SQL
  • Designing data APIs, semantic layers, and curated datasets
  • Developing cloud-native data solutions within AWS
  • Structuring and modeling complex engineering and simulation data
  • Supporting analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven product capabilities
  • Working with Product Managers to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Collaborating with Data, AI, BI, QA, and Software Engineering teams
  • Contributing to CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps practices
  • Maintaining high standards across data quality, testing, monitoring, and performance
  • Evaluating new tools, frameworks, and architectural approaches as the platform evolves

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
