About The Role
The Senior Data Engineer role at Tenth Revolution Group offers an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled professional to shape the future of the company’s data platform. This position is integral to the organization’s ongoing digital transformation, focusing on developing and enhancing a Snowflake-centric data architecture. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline data processes, improve data quality, and enable advanced analytics and reporting capabilities. This role provides a unique chance to be involved in a greenfield project, where your contributions will directly influence the strategic use of data across the business. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with senior leadership, understand complex business requirements, and deliver impactful solutions that support the company's growth ambitions.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of strong technical expertise and a keen understanding of business requirements. Essential qualifications include extensive experience with Snowflake and advanced SQL skills, along with proficiency in Python development. Experience with data modeling, data governance, and data quality practices is highly desirable. Familiarity with dbt and Power BI for data transformation and reporting is beneficial. Candidates should have a background in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering, with proven success in designing scalable data solutions. Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate complex data requirements into practical solutions are critical. Responsibilities
The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for a broad range of tasks aimed at developing a modern, scalable data platform. Key responsibilities include:
- Building and enhancing a Snowflake-based data environment
- Refactoring existing Python and SQL processes into more efficient architectures
- Developing data models within the Silver and Gold layers
- Improving data quality, governance, and reliability to ensure consistent and trustworthy insights
- Supporting Power BI reporting and developing semantic models to facilitate analytics
- Collaborating with stakeholders across finance, operations, and marketing to understand business needs and deliver actionable insights
- Contributing to the evolution of the wider Azure and Microsoft Fabric data estate, ensuring integration and compatibility across platforms
