Guided by our values of Care, Passion, and Smart Disruption, we’re united by a shared mission: to create smarter ways to run efficient clinical trials and deliver AI-powered insights that improve human outcomes worldwide.

This role is ideally on a hybrid basis, in London.

The Role

We're hiring a hands-on Senior / Lead Data Engineer to help shape the next phase of our data platform. We have an established Azure estate (Azure SQL warehouse, ADF, stored-procedure bronze/silver/gold, Power BI), Fabric capacity now in place, and a modernisation programme to lead. You'll define the target Microsoft Fabric architecture, lead a pragmatic migration, strengthen our Kimball gold layer, and set the engineering standards for the team. This is not a purely managerial role — you'll design, code, review, and operate production solutions alongside the engineers you mentor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the target Microsoft Fabric architecture and lead a phased, pragmatic migration from our current Azure SQL / ADF / stored-procedure estate.
  • Build reusable ingestion and transformation patterns in Fabric — Data Factory pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, notebooks, Delta, and T-SQL.
  • Own and evolve our Kimball dimensional modelling standards for the gold layer; remediate existing models and design new ones.
  • Partner with the Power BI team on semantic models (Direct Lake, RLS/OLS, performance) so business logic lives in the right layer.
  • Establish Git-based CI/CD, data quality checks, lineage, security, and monitoring across Fabric and related Azure components.
  • Act as a hands-on player-coach: design and code reviews, mentoring, engineering standards, and reference architectures.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
