About the role:
We are offering an outstanding opportunity to join our ambitious Data & Insights team as a Senior Data Engineering Analyst. Reporting to the Divisional Director, you will work with a team of analysts, engineers, and testers. You will manage tasks within a specific Data Feature Team. You will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and crafting the build, development, testing, and implementation of data projects. This ensures alignment with our Data Strategy and Corporate aims.
What you'll be doing:
- Guide and manage a Data Feature Team, ensuring perfect delivery of data outputs.
- Engage early with potential projects to determine scope and objectives.
- Drive solutions and resolve issues using your proven expertise.
- Coordinate with Project Managers and Scrum Masters to ensure Agile epics and stories are accurately set up and tracked.
- Ensure smooth transition of project deliverables to Data Operations.
- Liaise with Third Party development teams to promote data quality.

Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience working as a Data Engineering Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or in a similar data-focused role.
- Understanding of the full data and software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Advanced SQL skills with the ability to write, optimise, and troubleshoot complex database queries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing effective solutions.
- Experience working with and managing data across multiple enterprise data repositories and platforms.
- A passion for data quality, with a strong understanding of data accuracy, consistency, validity, integrity, and governance principles.
- Hands-on experience using data management, data quality, and data governance tools and techniques.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Practical experience with one or more of the following technologies:
- Power BI
- SQL
- Snowflake
- Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
Desirable Criteria:
- Wealth management or Financial Services Experience
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of data quality guidelines.
- Familiarity with financial data systems and processes.
