Shape the Data Foundation Behind Global Capital Markets

We're seeking an experienced Data Modeller to play a key role in the evolution of a strategic data platform supporting global investment and trading operations. This is an opportunity to work at the heart of a complex capital markets environment, designing enterprise-scale data models that support a broad range of financial products, trading workflows, and downstream consumer applications. You'll collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, engineers, and product teams to define how critical financial data is structured, governed, and consumed across the organisation.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Data Modeller, you'll be responsible for designing and standardising data models across a diverse set of asset classes and business domains. You'll combine deep capital markets knowledge with strong analytical and data modelling expertise, helping to create a consistent representation of trading, portfolio, market, and reference data across a sophisticated technology landscape. This is a highly visible role with significant stakeholder interaction and the opportunity to influence both strategic data architecture and business outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design and maintain logical and physical data models for capital markets platforms
  • Define standardised representations for a broad range of financial instruments and trade types
  • Ensure alignment between business requirements and data architecture
  • Analyse complex trading and investment workflows to identify data requirements and dependencies
  • Work closely with engineering and architecture teams to support platform delivery
  • Build a comprehensive understanding of upstream and downstream data consumers
  • Facilitate workshops to gather, validate, and refine business and data requirements
  • Promote data quality, consistency, and reusability across the organisation
  • Support data integration initiatives across multiple platforms and systems
  • Partner with stakeholders across technology, product, operations, and client-facing teams
  • Leverage modern technologies and AI-assisted approaches to improve analysis and delivery outcomes

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
