๐ Hiring: Senior Data / Platform Engineer | UK
We are looking for an experienced Senior Data / Platform Engineer to join a leading Data & Analytics team.
๐ Location: Guildford, Surrey โ Remote with occasional office visits
๐ผ Type: Permanent / Contract (initially 6 months)
๐ท Contract: Up to ยฃ350/day Inside IR35
โฑ๏ธ Start: Immediate joiners or max 2 weeks' notice
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable data pipelines using Databricks, Azure Synapse, Python & PySpark
- Administer Azure data platforms including ADLS Gen2, Key Vault, Synapse and Databricks
- Manage Databricks Workspaces, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Cluster Policies, Secret Scopes & Workflows
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Pulumi, Terraform or Bicep
- Build and manage CI/CD using GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps
- Manage Azure networking, RBAC, Managed Identities and Private Endpoints
- Monitor platforms using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and KQL
- Drive platform security, governance, reliability and performance
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to solution design and technical standards

Must Have
- 6โ10 years of relevant Data Engineering / Azure experience
- Strong Python / PySpark
- Hands-on Databricks & Delta Lake
- Strong Azure Synapse, ADLS Gen2 & Key Vault
- Azure networking, RBAC, Managed Identity & Private Endpoints
- GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps
- Pulumi / Terraform / Bicep
- PowerShell / Bash
- Azure Monitor, Log Analytics & KQL
- Parquet & Delta Lake
