Senior Data Reporting Analyst
About the Role
At Canopius, our delivery teams ensure that business users can effectively leverage data insights to drive strategic decision-making. Our data strategy centres around an enterprise Lakehouse platform on Databricks—a governed, interoperable data estate—that enables self-service for business teams while providing a trusted foundation for advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI.
This approach eliminates fragmented, ungoverned data silos in legacy technologies, fostering scalability and creativity to accelerate change across our industry.
The Senior Data Reporting Analyst owns the provision of trusted, accurate, and timely reporting, collaborating closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver robust solutions. This role involves both producing and submitting reporting/regulatory returns, supporting automation to empower business teams to serve themselves where possible.
Aligned with fixed regulatory cycles and deadlines, the position spans both regulatory and operational reporting, prioritising accuracy as the cornerstone of all outputs. Additionally, as a senior team member, you’ll set an example, mentor others, and champion reporting standards, reusability, and continuous improvement—driving cultural excellence in data quality.
The ideal candidate is an experienced reporting analyst passionate about using technology to transform our sector. You’ll excel in producing controlled outputs within a regulated environment, blending stakeholder engagement with hands-on problem-solving. Automating manual processes and enabling self-service motivates this role, with the opportunity to make a real impact.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
