Senior Data Scientist – Biostatistics | Contract | Fully Remote

I’m currently working with a growing data science team looking for a Senior Data Scientist with a strong Biostatistics and Statistics background to join on an initial 3-month contract, with potential for extension.

This is a specialist opportunity for someone who enjoys applying statistical expertise to complex data science challenges, with a particular interest in candidates who have experience across biostatistics, disease progression, clinical research, or related areas.

The ideal background:

  • Strong Biostatistics / Statistics experience
  • 2–3+ years’ experience using R
  • Strong analytical and statistical modelling skills
  • Good technical and programming capability
  • Experience working with complex datasets and applying statistical methodologies
  • Experience with disease progression would be highly advantageous
  • Commercial Data Science experience preferred
  • Strong academic/research backgrounds will also be considered where candidates can demonstrate strong technical skills and commercial awareness

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
