Join our Customer Data Science & AI team

Join our Customer Data Science & AI team and help shape the future of personalization, recommendations, and customer analytics at TUI. Reporting to the Lead Data Scientist, you'll play a key role in turning complex business challenges into scalable, data-driven solutions that improve customer and business outcomes.

The role will be published until 5th November 2026.

Working across the full data science lifecycle, you'll translate business needs into technical solutions, from exploration and feature engineering through to deployment, monitoring and optimisation.

You'll partner with stakeholders across analytics, technology, engineering and business teams to turn data into actionable insights and recommendations.

By collaborating closely with engineering teams, you'll help integrate models into production environments and support scalable, reliable AI solutions.

You'll explore emerging technologies, evaluate new tools and methodologies, and contribute innovative ideas that strengthen our data science capabilities.

Beyond delivering impactful solutions, you'll mentor colleagues, share knowledge across the team and help build reusable frameworks, components and best practices.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience applying data science and machine learning to real-world business problems.
  • Strong expertise in machine learning algorithms, statistical methods and analytical problem-solving enables you to tackle complex challenges with confidence.
  • You'll bring advanced Python programming skills and experience working with modern data science libraries and tools, Strong Python and SQL skills.
  • Experience across the end-to-end data science lifecycle means you're comfortable moving from discovery and experimentation to production deployment.
  • Experience with predictive modelling, recommendation systems, personalization, customer analytics, or similar use cases. Understanding of experimentation and A/B testing.
  • You're able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and adapt your approach for both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience on these would be an advantage: cloud platforms (AWS), Snowflake, or MLOps, GenAI, LLMs, RAG, or related AI technologies and travel, e-commerce, retail, CRM, or loyalty domains.
