Senior Data Scientist

London (Hybrid, 3 days on site) | Up to £100,000 + Bonus | Three Stages

The company

Our client is an established, market-leading technology business. Their data and modelling products support critical risk and decision-making processes for some of the UK’s largest organisations, and they’ve built a strong reputation for accuracy and innovation.

The role

You’ll join a collaborative data science team as a Senior Data Scientist, taking ownership of a flagship valuation model used by major lenders. You’ll keep live models performing at their best, research new data and techniques to push accuracy further, and see your improvements go straight into production.

What you’ll bring

  • An advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or another quantitative discipline
  • Strong Python skills, writing stable, scalable and maintainable code
  • Experience with scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy, LightGBM and PyTorch
  • An R&D mindset: forming hypotheses, running rigorous experiments and drawing sound conclusions
  • Comfort with Docker and containerised applications
  • Experience with AWS or a similar cloud platform

Nice to have:

  • Solid understanding of the ML lifecycle, including CI/CD, Git, testing frameworks and MLOps
  • Experience delivering ML in regulated environments, including Model Risk Management, governance or explainability, is a strong plus
