About the Role
We're partnering with an organisation delivering impactful healthcare programmes and are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to help shape data-driven decision-making across the business.
This is an exciting opportunity for a data professional who enjoys transforming complex datasets into meaningful insights that drive real-world outcomes. You'll work with key stakeholders across programmes and leadership teams, providing analytical expertise that supports strategic decisions and improves service delivery.
As a member of the team, you'll ensure high-quality analytical delivery while helping to develop analytical capability and best practices across the organisation.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you'll be responsible for:
- Leading complex data analysis to generate actionable insights and support strategic decision-making
- Applying advanced statistical techniques including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and time-series modelling
- Developing and optimising advanced SQL queries to analyse large and complex datasets
- Using Python for data wrangling, analysis, modelling, and automation
- Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities through the analysis of healthcare and operational data
- Creating compelling visualisations and reports to communicate findings to a range of audiences
- Working closely with stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into analytical solutions
- Influencing decision-making through evidence-based recommendations and strategic insight
- Leading analytical projects and ensuring delivery against agreed objectives and timelines
- Supporting and mentoring colleagues to encourage continuous learning and development
- Ensuring analytical outputs meet quality assurance and governance standards
- Driving continuous improvement in analytical methodologies, tools, and best practices

Essential Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytics-focused role
- Strong expertise in advanced analytics and statistical techniques
- Advanced SQL development skills
- Advanced Python skills, including data wrangling and analysis
- Experience analysing and interpreting complex datasets
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities
- Experience presenting complex findings in a clear and engaging way
- Experience leading projects, workstreams, or analytical initiatives
- Eligibility to work in the UK

Desirable (Not Required)
These aren't essential, but they're a bonus:
- Experience using data visualisation tools such as Power BI
- Understanding of data governance, quality assurance, and analytical best practice frameworks
