Senior - Lead Datacenter Engineer
Liverpool - Onsite

£50,000-£70,000 (role dependent) + Pre-IPO stocks + Benefits
We’re supporting a fast-scaling AI cloud infrastructure company hiring Senior Data Centre Engineers for a new Liverpool site.
You’ll work hands-on with high-density GPU infrastructure, helping deploy, commission, troubleshoot and scale modern AI compute environments. This is an early hire opportunity with real ownership, strong technical impact and long-term progression as the site grows.
What you’ll do
- Rack, cable, deploy and commission GPU/server infrastructure
- Troubleshoot hardware, firmware, cabling and connectivity issues
- Support production readiness, break-fix, RMAs and incident response
- Work across copper/fibre cabling, optics and physical network links
- Support cluster deployments, hardware refreshes and site expansion
- Help improve SOPs, runbooks and troubleshooting processes
- Mentor junior technicians as the team grows

What we’re looking for
- Strong data centre operations or deployment experience
- Hands-on server hardware, rack/stack and cabling skills
- Experience with fibre/copper, optics and physical connectivity
- Confident troubleshooting production hardware issues
- Good documentation, escalation and ownership mindset
- Comfortable in a fast-moving, high-growth environment

- GPU, HPC or AI infrastructure exposure
- NVIDIA H100/H200/GB200/GB300 or similar
- Liquid cooling / direct-to-chip cooling
- InfiniBand, RoCE, Mellanox/NVIDIA networking
- Linux, BMC, IPMI, Redfish or firmware experience
