Senior Dayforce System Analyst

Help shape and optimise a critical HR system that supports colleagues across VetPartners.

As our Senior Dayforce System Analyst, you'll be the technical expert behind our Dayforce platform, ensuring it is secure, efficient and continually evolving to meet the needs of the business.

About the role

You'll take the lead in administering, configuring and improving our Dayforce HCM platform, working closely with HR, Payroll, IT and operational teams. From supporting acquisitions and organisational change to enhancing reporting and automation, you'll play a key role in delivering reliable, scalable people systems that enable better business decisions, across our organisation. We've more than 13000 colleagues, focussed ultimately on our animal patients, across 9 countries, at our varied veterinary practices. Practically the role will be based in York - where we have our Central Support Office - though a degree of hybrid working is possible with some days worked from home.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead the configuration, administration and ongoing optimisation of the Dayforce platform across Core HR and related modules.
  • Support acquisitions and organisational changes by building structures, migrating employee data and coordinating successful system onboarding.
  • Configure workflows, security roles, forms, notifications and business processes to improve efficiency and user experience.
  • Develop meaningful reports and dashboards that provide valuable insights for HR and business leaders.
  • Support payroll-related system configuration, testing and issue investigation, working closely with Payroll teams to ensure accurate outcomes.
  • Act as the senior technical expert for Dayforce, resolving complex issues, advising stakeholders and mentoring colleagues.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to automate processes, simplify administration and make the most of new Dayforce functionality.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
