Senior DB Pensions Consultant

Senior DB Pensions Consultant with excellent experience around Defined Benefit (DB), trustees, and governance is required by a leading Civil Engineering company based in London

Join a global organisation and take ownership of key Defined Benefit (DB) pension activities across the UK & Europe. This is an excellent opportunity for a pensions professional to work closely with trustees, advisers and senior stakeholders while gaining exposure to wider retirement, employee share plan and financial wellbeing programmes on a global scale.

Experience Required

  • In-house trustee governance is a must for this role
  • Working with UK trust-based pension schemes, ideally supporting trustee, governance or secretariat activities
  • Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes and pension administration
  • Strong analytical, stakeholder management and project coordination skills
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively

  • Act as a key contact for UK DB pension schemes, supporting trustees, advisers and scheme members
  • Oversee day-to-day DB pension operations, including service provider management, governance activities and member queries
  • Attend trustee meetings, coordinate actions and support governance and business planning activities
  • Maintain governance documentation, reporting and operational trackers
  • Support member communications and oversight of outsourced pension administration providers
  • Partner with Payroll, Finance, Treasury, Legal and Reward teams on pension-related activities
  • Contribute to retirement, employee share plan and financial wellbeing initiatives globally
  • Support governance projects, year-end activities, M&A due diligence and pension strategy initiatives

This role offers a unique blend of UK DB pensions governance, trustee engagement and global retirement programme exposure. You'll have the opportunity to work on high-profile pension projects while developing expertise across financial wellbeing, employee share plans and broader reward initiatives.

They are looking to pay a starting salary of £65,000 - £75,000, and it would be 2 - 3 days in the office (London or Epsom)
