Then you could be BWSC’s next Senior DCS Engineer, based in our UK Head Office, The Genesis Centre, Birchwood. We are looking for a candidate who enjoys combining hands-on technical support with structured engineering improvements in an international environment with multiple stakeholders.

What will you do
As a Senior DCS Engineer, you will deliver advanced expertise across the full lifecycle of BWSC’s energy plants supporting the plants in operational matters, lifecycle overviews, change management procedures, supplier and SLA management as well as Cybersecurity and Compliance questions
Your core duties will include:
Operational Support
- Perform DCS and PLC health checks
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Participate in planned outages and maintenance activities
- Provide emergency call-out support when required
Lifecycle & Change Management
- Support obsolescence and lifecycle management initiatives
- Participate in Change Management and Change Advisory Board (CAB) processes
- Coordinate system upgrades, patching, and backup/restore activities
- Maintain technical documentation and asset inventories
Supplier & SLA Management
- Act as technical focal point towards OEMs and service providers
- Follow up on SLA performance and service contracts
- Coordinate vendor interventions and support activities
- Ensure timely resolution of technical issues with suppliers

Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Participate in OT risk assessments
- Support vulnerability management and patching activities
- Assist in incident response and recovery activities
- Promote compliance with company standards and applicable regulations
What do you bring to the field
Preferably, you hold an Engineering degree (BSc/MSc) in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Plant Engineering or a related field with an understanding of DCS, SCADA and OT environments. Experience from power plants, utilities, process industry, marine, or offshore environments is highly relevant.
In addition, you hold:
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to simplify and communicate complex electrical issues
- Proactive problem solver who takes ownership of technical challenges and delivers practical solutions
- Team player with a collaborative mindset
- Adaptable and willing to continuously learn new technologies
- Structured and documentation-oriented
- Able to work independently across multiple sites
- Willingness to travel to operating sites within the UK and occasionally internationally
