About Us
Here at ISS, as one of the UK's leading Facilities Management (FM) providers, we are looking to recruit an established Decarbonisation Professional to focus on one of Corporate Banking Accounts. This client is an international financial services organisation with an existing Decarbonisation Net Zero strategy in place.
Role Overview
As the client's Facilities partner, this role of Decarbonisation Business Partner will support the practical delivery of net zero, decarbonisation, and sustainability objectives and reporting across their portfolios. The role acts as a trusted senior advisor to the client’s Country Leadership Teams (CLT) while also leveraging the FM provider’s operational capability, technical expertise, and supply-chain influence to convert ambition into measurable, on-the-ground carbon reduction.
This position bridges the customer's strategy and ISS execution, ensuring that sustainability commitments are credible, deliverable through FM services and capital programmes, and transparently reported as part of the customer's wider regulatory requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Position the FM organisation as a strategic partner, identifying opportunities for the delivery of sustainability, energy, and carbon initiatives.
- Influence senior client stakeholders to integrate net zero delivery into operational decision-making, capital planning, and service strategies.
- Own the interface between FM operational data and client sustainability reporting, ensuring carbon metrics are accurate, consistent, and audit-ready.

- Ensure reporting reflects real delivery progress, not just ambition, strengthening credibility with regulators, auditors, and internal governance forums.
