Senior Decision Scientist
Brighton (Hybrid) | £90,000 Base Salary
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Data & Analytics function at a business that is placing data and AI at the heart of its strategy. As a Senior Decision Scientist, you'll help shape how data is used to drive commercial decisions, improve product experiences, and influence long-term business outcomes. You'll join at a pivotal time as the organisation evolves its data capability and scales a high-impact team.

The Role
As a Senior Decision Scientist, you will work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, and senior stakeholders to identify opportunities, influence strategy, and deliver measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Understanding complex business and product challenges through data analysis.
- Identifying, sizing, and prioritising commercial opportunities.
- Conducting product analytics to improve customer experiences and business performance.
- Defining success metrics and building frameworks for measuring impact.
- Designing, implementing, and analysing A/B tests and experimentation programmes.
- Supporting product teams with insight-driven decision making.
- Delivering data storytelling and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Collaborating across analytics, data engineering, and data science disciplines.
- Leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance analysis and product development.
- Contributing to a growing data community and helping shape best practice.

Projects may include recommendation engines, customer personalisation, checkout optimisation, fraud reduction, financial process improvement, customer segmentation, and AI-powered product features.
Your Skills & Experience
- Strong experience turning data into commercial recommendations and business outcomes.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence decision-making.
- Experience working within product, digital, e-commerce, or technology environments.
- Strong analytical capability, including SQL and relevant analytical tooling.
- Experience designing and evaluating experiments, including A/B testing and statistical analysis.
- Commercially minded with the ability to balance rigour and pace.
- Comfortable working through ambiguity and solving open-ended business problems.
- Interest in AI, machine learning, and emerging technologies.
- Ability to communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with product analytics, opportunity sizing, and performance measurement.
