DA Audit-Focused Engagement
This is a DA audit-focused engagement for a genuine subject-matter expert, most likely someone at the very end of their career in Delegated Authority. Rather than a general oversight or advisory brief, the work centres on running DA audit and assurance processes hands-on, and using deep technical knowledge to identify where those processes themselves can be tightened and improved.
Responsibilities
- Run and deliver DA audit processes directly: This is a hands-on audit remit, not a governance/advisory watching brief
- Apply deep, practitioner-level DA knowledge to test the effectiveness of existing controls and audit coverage
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in how DA audits are currently structured and run
- Recommend and help implement practical improvements to DA audit process and methodology
- Provide the kind of scrutiny that only comes from having worked at the sharp end of DA for many years

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
