Role: Senior Delivery Unit Head / Leader – DFS
Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Delivery Leader as Delivery Unit head with a strong focus on managing large client accounts in the Financial Services domain. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in client-facing delivery leadership, P&L ownership, and driving transformation programs across geographies. This role demands a hands-on leader who can manage complex engagements, build strong client relationships, and ensure delivery excellence while driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Delivery & Engagement
- Lead large-scale delivery programs for key insurance clients, ensuring alignment with contractual commitments, timelines, and quality standards
- Identify and mitigate delivery risks, escalate critical issues, and ensure timely resolution
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, including CXO-level executives, ensuring high satisfaction and long-term engagement
- Drive digital transformation initiatives in the insurance space, leveraging DFS capabilities and industry best practices
- Support strategic initiatives including innovation pilots, and GTM activities
- Represent the account in leadership forums and contribute to growth strategy

P&L Ownership
- Own and manage the full P&L for the respective Account, ensuring profitability, cost control, and revenue growth
- Monitor financial performance, forecast budgets, and implement corrective actions as needed
- Collaborate with finance and business teams to align delivery outcomes with strategic goals
Strategic Leadership
- Support sales and pre-sales teams in bid defense, solutioning, and proposal development
- Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and contribute to new Business opportunities
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure delivery governance, risk management, and compliance with internal HCL and client-specific standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across delivery processes and tools
People Leadership
- Build and lead high-performing delivery teams across geographies
- Partner with HR and TAG teams for Talent Management and development, Talent Acquisition and retention strategies
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration
Must have skills and experience:
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience in IT delivery, with a strong focus on the insurance domain and digital finance services
- Proven track record of managing large client accounts and complex delivery programs in insurance or finance environment
- Strong client-facing experience with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, both in French and English
- Demonstrated strong experience in P&L ownership (>50M$ annual PnL), financial planning, and business growth
- Deep understanding of insurance industry trends, regulatory requirements, and digital transformation
- Knowledge of French labor laws and compliance in IT service delivery
- Willingness to travel across Europe and Offshore as required
- French and English fluency (min. C1 level) is mandatory

- Experience in Agile delivery models and transformation programs
- Experience in overseeing large Digital Workplace operational management and transformation
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern enterprise architectures
- Exposure to data analytics, AI/ML use cases in insurance
- Experience in vendor management and contract negotiations

- SAFe® Agilist / Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) – for Agile environments
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Certified Solutions Architect
Location: Watford, UK (Full Onsite, with occasional travel across Europe, Offshore if required)
Languages Required: Fluent in English (min. C1)
