We are MHCLG

Here at the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government (MHCLG), we work on things that make a real difference to people’s lives. Whether it's through the homes we live in, the work of our local councils, or the communities we’re all part of, our work is at the top of the political agenda. We have ambitious and far-reaching outcomes to achieve this year and, if you’re thinking of joining us, there’s never been a more exciting time.

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join the Elections Digital team at MHCLG as a Senior Delivery Manager. It’s an exciting time to join as we have an ambitious programme of work from delivery of the government’s manifesto commitments on elections, to iterating our existing services which include Register to vote, Apply for a postal vote, and Apply for photo ID to vote. You’ll be working in a fast-paced, high profile, agile environment, leading a multidisciplinary team. You’ll be working closely with Product, Technical and Policy leads to ensure project deliverables meet user and business needs. Your work will directly benefit millions of people who use our services each year to participate in elections in the UK.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
