Senior Demand Forecasting Manager | Commercial Analytics

This is bigger than a Traditional Forecasting Role

This role helps shape the longer-term commercial outlook for a major national infrastructure business. You’ll be building strategic forecasts, modelling different future scenarios and helping senior leaders understand what changing customer demand could mean for revenue, investment, capacity and resource over the years ahead.

We’re particularly interested in people who have worked in strategic forecasting, scenario modelling, business modelling or consulting-led analytical environments, where you’ve had to take multiple assumptions, market signals and competing data points and turn them into a credible view of what could happen next.

The role in a Nutshell

This is a true analyst-storyteller role. You'll work across sales, finance, commercial, strategy, product and capacity planning, often dealing with contradictory information and using your judgement to extract the real signal from conflicting data. You'll assess how special offers, discounts, bespoke pricing and product substitution shift demand, and you'll be the unbiased, independent voice the business relies on.

What matters is that you're a strong commercial forecaster who can handle large datasets, build robust models, and make the numbers make sense to a room of senior stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to turn data into accurate forecasts
  • Commercial acumen and sound commercial judgement
  • Confidence handling large datasets and complex Excel models without losing attention to detail or the bigger picture
  • Excellent stakeholder skills - able to build relationships, challenge, influence and negotiate to a clear outcome
  • Comfortable extracting key signals from contradictory or incomplete data using your own judgement
  • Able to deliver to tight, sometimes conflicting, deadlines
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent business experience, ideally in a numerate discipline

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
