PUBLIC DENTAL SERVICE

Senior Dental Officer in Paediatric Dentistry (Band B)

30 hours per week 0.8WTE

(Full or part-time applications welcome)

SALARY £84,180-£98,460 pro rata

If so, you may want to apply for this post. Lothian Public Dental Service are looking for a Senior Dental Officer to work with our excellent dental team providing high quality clinical leadership and care for children living in Lothian.

We provide routine dental care to children with a wide range of disability and impairment, who cannot receive their care in the General Dental Service. We also provide care for children with high levels of dental disease and dental anxiety who are referred by General Dental Practitioners and other health and social care workers. Care is often provided under general anaesthesia or sedation. We are part of the Lothian Oral Health Service.

You will work alongside experienced colleagues in the Public Dental Service and will be part of the Senior Paediatric Team, working closely with hospital colleagues and supporting the wider teams involved in the dental care of children.

Applicants must have:

  • current full registration with the General Dental Council
  • a postgraduate qualification (or equivalent)
  • significant experience working with children with anxiety and additional needs
