The role focuses on the design and delivery of water and wastewater schemes, including pipelines, pumping stations, treatment facilities, and associated civil engineering assets.

You will play a key role within the Engineering Design Team, supporting the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects. Working closely with Principal Engineers, Design Managers, Design Leads, and multidisciplinary teams, you will help deliver high-quality, compliant, and innovative engineering solutions.

You Will

  • Deliver civil engineering designs for water and wastewater projects in accordance with project requirements, industry standards, and health and safety regulations.
  • Produce and review design calculations, technical reports, specifications, drawings, and supporting documentation.

  • Contribute to engineering governance, maintaining quality, consistency, and compliance across project deliverables.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Attend design reviews, client meetings, progress meetings, and site visits as required.
  • Support knowledge sharing and mentor graduate and junior engineers.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
