About the role

A new range of heated hair styling tools is heading for a 2027 launch, and the team building it needs two contract Senior Design Engineers to take mechanical designs through to manufacture. London, up to £400 a day outside IR35, three days on site. Real development work, not tidying drawings for production.

Why This Might Beat The Job You Have Now

  • You take heated tool designs from development to manufacture-ready and own the calls. Development work, not production clean-up.
  • Real thermal engineering to get into, the part that makes heated styling tools genuinely hard.
  • Hands-on prototyping on site at their London office, working the problem in the room, not over email.
  • An initial contract likely to run into late 2026, a decent runway.
  • An international team where you find the answer yourself, no queue and no committee on your calls.

Role At A Glance

  • Up to £400 per day, outside IR35, engaged through Kodu and our payroll partner.
  • London. Hybrid, three days a week on site.
  • One month contract
  • Two positions, immediate start.
  • Well connected by tube and rail.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
