Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Managing and coordinating the delivery of design information in line with the agreed design programme and project deliverables.
- Overseeing appointed design consultants to ensure they fulfil their contractual responsibilities, reviewing and challenging design submissions to confirm compliance with relevant standards, specifications, and the project brief.
- Providing design management and technical input throughout both the pre-construction and construction phases of projects.
- Developing and maintaining design programmes, design scopes, design responsibility matrices, consultant appointments, and associated schedules.
- Organising, attending, and chairing relevant design meetings, workshops, and coordination sessions with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

This Senior Design Manager position would suit you if you have:
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience working as a Design Manager for a Tier 1 UK contractor.
- A degree in a construction-related discipline.
- Professional chartership, such as MCIOB, MICE, or an equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience delivering healthcare projects.
- Experience managing the design and delivery of medium to large-scale construction projects.
- Strong experience delivering civils, substructure, and superstructure structural design packages, together with experience managing façade design packages, including unitised and off-site systems.
