About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Scotland business as a subject matter expert, working closely with our preconstruction teams on a diverse range of bids and tenders. You'll drive technical leadership and excellence in MEP design from early-stage feasibility through to handover, working across new build, refurbishment and retrofit projects in sectors including education, healthcare, defence, custodial, leisure, heritage and commercial space. Our Scotland business has an annual turnover of circa £200M, offering great variety and challenge.

Responsibilities

As a Senior MEP Design Manager, you'll be working within the design team, supporting them in delivering technical leadership and excellence across MEP design. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Leading profitable tender generation, programme development, and MEP-specific cost and value engineering
  • Managing and coordinating MEP consultants and internal teams to ensure delivery on time, in budget, and to agreed standards
  • Reviewing design outputs for technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and best practice
  • Coordinating with architecture, structural engineering, and construction teams to align multidisciplinary design integration
  • Developing budgets for MEP design stages, monitoring cost performance, and identifying design risks early in the process

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
