Job Description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Design System Designer based in the United Kingdom.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Design System Designer to drive the evolution of scalable, consistent, and high-quality design systems across complex digital products.

In this role, you will take ownership of design system strategy, component development, and UI consistency while collaborating closely with product, engineering, and quality teams.

You will help bridge the gap between design and development by creating reusable patterns, improving workflows, and ensuring exceptional user experiences.

The position requires strong product thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.

You will join a collaborative, remote-friendly environment where innovation, autonomy, and continuous improvement are highly valued.

This is an opportunity to shape foundational design practices and influence how teams build and scale digital experiences.

Accountabilities

As a Senior Design System Designer, you will:

  • Own the continuous improvement and adoption of scalable design systems, ensuring consistency and efficiency across products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish best practices, improve design workflows, and deliver impactful user experiences.
  • Develop and maintain scalable design systems that support product growth, consistency, and usability across multiple digital experiences.
  • Design and evolve reusable components, patterns, and design tokens based on real product requirements and user scenarios.
  • Own the roadmap and prioritization of design system improvements, making informed design decisions and ensuring quality standards.
  • Conduct UI reviews and design quality checks to maintain consistency between design concepts and implemented experiences.
  • Analyze component usage in production, identify systemic issues, and propose solutions that improve efficiency and usability.
  • Partner closely with product designers, frontend engineers, and QA specialists to ensure accurate implementation of design solutions.
  • Create and maintain clear documentation, guidelines, and best practices for component usage and design workflows.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
