We are working with an established business within the façade industry that is looking to add an experienced Senior Designer to its design team.
This is a hands-on technical role suited to someone with strong façade design experience who can take ownership of projects, coordinate with other disciplines and provide technical support to junior designers.
The Role
You will be responsible for developing façade design packages from early design stages through to manufacture and installation. You’ll work closely with architects, structural engineers, consultants, manufacturers and site teams to ensure designs are technically sound, coordinated and buildable.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Developing detailed façade design packages in line with specifications, design intent and regulatory requirements.
- Producing and reviewing coordinated drawing packages.
- Working with manufacturers, engineers, architects and consultants to resolve technical queries.
- Supporting site teams with installation and technical issues.
- Carrying out site surveys, inspections and technical reviews where required.
- Taking part in technical and stakeholder meetings.
- Reviewing drawings produced by other designers to ensure accuracy, buildability and compliance.
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior designers.
- Contributing to improvements in design processes, systems and working practices.

About You
We’re looking for someone with:
- 5+ years’ façade design experience, covering areas such as curtain walling, cladding, doors and windows.
- Strong AutoCAD 2D skills.
- Good knowledge of façade manufacturing and construction processes.
- Understanding of relevant building regulations, CWCT and BS/EN standards.
- Experience working with curtain walling systems such as Schüco, Aluprof or similar.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and take ownership of design deliverables.
- Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
