Are you an experienced and passionate designer looking for an opportunity to elevate your career?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Designer to join our Buying & Merchandising team where you will design and create fashion products to appeal to our target customer.

Role Accountabilities

  • Design to the required brief and curate and develop commercial ranges in line with our target customer and brand DNA.
  • Work with the design team to pull together seasonal trends and colour palettes.
  • Conduct research, comp shops, catwalk analysis and trend prediction to keep up to date with current and seasonal trends.
  • Compile seasonal key shapes.
  • Participate in range reviews with the buyers.
  • Work closely with the buying team on product development and evolution of the range.
  • Work closely with the print designer to ensure the ranges have the correct print balance.
  • Work closely with QA on fit sessions.
  • Constantly review ranges and amend accordingly in line with company trade data and in season trends.
  • Work with Merchandiser on option count to plan and flow for the season.
  • Build relationships with key suppliers and attend regular supplier meetings.
  • Participate in relevant Far East and European factory visits for seasonal product development.
  • Participate in relevant European shopping trips for inspiration.
  • Work closely with Head of Design in delivering the seasonal company strategies.

About You

  • Fashion design degree or equivalent
  • Able to commute to Bradford City Centre
  • Proven experience of designing in a Retail and/or Mail Order environment, in order to meet the Company’s targets
  • Proficient in Photoshop/and or illustrator.
  • High level range planning skills
  • Broad related product experience
  • Commerciality and sound judgement
  • Proven influencing and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work through rapid change
  • Excellent organisational skills
