The role
Spektrix has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Designer to join our Marketing team!
As the Senior Designer, you'll be Spektrix’s primary design practitioner and the day-to-day owner of the company’s visual creative expression. You'll be responsible for bringing the Spektrix brand to life across campaigns, digital experiences, events, social media, sales materials, product communications, and other client- and market-facing work.
You'll own the application and ongoing development of Spektrix’s visual design system, ensuring the brand is consistently recognizable while continuing to evolve how it is expressed. You'll work directly with colleagues across Marketing to turn ideas, briefs, messages, and business objectives into thoughtful, distinctive creative work.
This is not a production design or internal creative-services role. This position combines hands-on design and strategic creative leadership. You'll challenge briefs, drive visual strategy, and take complete ownership from initial idea through final execution.
What You'll Do
- Design System & Brand Evolution: You'll own and evolve the Spektrix visual identity and design system while creating reusable templates and components that elevate brand standards, accessibility, and visual quality across channels and regions without becoming formulaic.
- Campaign & Strategic Concepting: You'll translate marketing briefs, narratives, and business goals into cohesive visual systems for integrated campaigns, website experiences (partnering with the Website Manager), and social channels.
- Multichannel Execution: You'll design dynamic assets across digital and physical touchpoints including campaign landing pages, digital ads, social media, event branding/signage, product visual communications, and sales enablement decks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: You'll partner with Content & Campaigns colleagues on visual storytelling, collaborate with Multimedia leads to blend static and motion formats, and work with stakeholders to challenge briefs and recommend high-impact creative approaches.
- Project Intake & Workflow Management: You'll help evaluate incoming creative requests, manage timelines and dependencies across concurrent projects, and deliver production-ready assets across all required formats.
- Quality Control & File Organization: You'll review creative work to maximize visual hierarchy, clarity, and usability while maintaining organized asset libraries, templates, and source files for easy team access and reuse.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
