Senior Designer, 14mth+ FTC (Maternity cover)

Start Date: November (to enable 2mths handover)

Hybrid, London (Near Monument)

Description:

Benchmark Mineral Intelligence is the world’s largest and most credible platform for prices, IOSCO-assured data, and market intelligence dedicated to the full depth and breadth of energy transition supply chains. Having acquired Rho Motion in 2024, our reporting and analysis now extends from mine to grid with coverage across lithium ion batteries, rare earth elements, battery demand and EV / Energy infrastructure. Headquartered in London, UK, we have offices and teams strategically located globally.

Overview:

As Senior Designer, you will cover our current Senior Designer who will be on maternity leave. You will play a critical role in shaping how Benchmark communicates complex, data-rich insights to a global audience. Sitting within the Marketing & Design Division, you will be the sole designer and work creatively within our existing design function. You will collaborate with cross-divisional stakeholders including Marketing, Product, Technology, Events, Sales, Editorial and Leadership.

This role requires a mix of high-level strategic thinking and hands-on creative design work. You will define and elevate our visual identity and own delivery of high-impact design initiatives across digital, print, product and events. You’ll run the creative vision for Benchmark’s brand, translate complex datasets into compelling visual narratives, and ensure world-class design standards company-wide.

This is an ideal role for a designer who is passionate about data storytelling, thrives in fast-paced environments where you are the only design voice in the company, and someone who is excited to shape the next evolution of a global brand in a rapidly scaling sector.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
