HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

At the heart of our Maison's creative vision, the Senior Designer, Soft Accessories & Print will lead the concept and development of our iconic soft accessories and print collections. This pivotal role is instrumental in shaping categories that are deeply integral to our heritage, renowned for their unparalleled craftsmanship and distinctive aesthetic.

You will be tasked with the seasonal evolution of our soft accessories (e.g., scarves, ties, pocket squares) and the creation of unique print, textile and embroidery narratives across various product categories, respecting the timeless approach to the Maison's legacy through a highly qualitative and subtle approach to design for our discerning global clientele.

This involves extensive collaboration with the fabric and product development teams, footwear and RTW teams, thoughtful design with exceptional attention to material, print technique, proportion, detail, and finish. Close collaboration with our key suppliers while maintaining an evolved English expression in luxury menswear.

Role Scope

  • Soft Accessories: Scarves (woven and printed), Ties (print and jacquard), Pocket Squares, Hats, (cut and sew and moulded) Gloves, Neckerchiefs, Braces, Socks, Evening/Cocktail accessories (bow ties / cummerbunds)
  • Seasonal Print/Textiles Collections for various product categories (e.g., Ready-to-Wear, Footwear)
  • Novelty textile and/or embroidery design for footwear.
  • Custom commissions for VIPs involving soft accessories, bespoke print applications, footwear novelties.

HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?

  • Creative Vision & Concept Development: Lead seasonal research and concept development for soft accessories and prints, collaborating closely with the Chief Creative Officer and design teams to define palettes, stories, and materials, ensuring seamless alignment with the Maison's overarching creative strategy.
  • End-to-End Collection Ownership: Drive the entire design and development process for soft accessories and prints, from initial concept through to the production of exquisite samples. Uphold unparalleled standards of craftsmanship, material quality, print execution, and finish.
  • Material & Print Innovation: Spearhead the sourcing and development of luxurious materials (e.g., silks, cashmeres, fine leathers) and innovative print/jacquard techniques. Create unique patterns and colourways that beautifully blend heritage with contemporary relevance.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner effectively with Merchandising to harmonise aesthetic vision with commercial strategy. Work hand-in-hand with fabric, product development, and technical teams to ensure impeccable execution, fit, and finish.
  • Global Engagement: Travel to key British and Italian suppliers for research and development, and to Italy for crucial collection presentation dates.
  • Brand Ambassador: Champion the Maison's distinctive English style and sophisticated aesthetic in every design decision, contributing to compelling collection presentations, showroom curation, and styling for shows and campaigns.
  • Project & Budget Management: Oversee the design execution for SS28, AW28, and SS29 collections, maintaining continuous coordination and responsible management of sample budgets.
