TOPSHOP and TOPMAN
TOPSHOP and TOPMAN are iconic British fashion brands with 60 years of heritage. Headquartered in London, the Brands have over 2 million customers across the globe through the ASOS platform and generate brand sales of c£200m. Our mission is to unlock the best of fashion for everyone, with creativity and innovation at our core.
Following the formation of a Joint Venture between ASOS and HEARTLAND in October 2024, ASOS is creating a standalone cross-functional team within ASOS which is dedicated to unlocking the huge growth potential of the TOPSHOP and TOPMAN brands. The brands will now benefit from ASOS infrastructure and resources while enjoying the creative freedom and agility of standalone brands.
The next 12 months for TOPSHOP and TOPMAN will see the expansion of the brands’ offline and online retail presence with the launch of Topshop.com and new wholesale partnerships.
Job Description
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Lead Designer, the Senior Designer is responsible for driving trend-led, commercially relevant Jersey product across Tops, Dresses, Bottoms and fashion separates. You will lead category direction, identify key seasonal opportunities and deliver innovative product that strengthens the Topshop brand identity while meeting customer and business needs. This role requires strong trend awareness, creative vision, excellent product development skills and the ability to react quickly to emerging opportunities. This aligns with the Jersey project expectations around trend direction, design development and customer insight.

YOU WILL BE...
- Researching and identifying key global, cultural and fashion trends.
- Creating seasonal trend concepts, mood boards and product direction.
- Designing Jersey ranges across basics and fashion product including tops, dresses and bottoms.
- Driving key fashion shapes, product big deals and hero pieces for the season.
- Working closely with Buying, Merchandising, Technical and Sourcing teams.
- Using customer insights, sales performance and competitor analysis to inform design decisions.
- Identifying speed-to-market opportunities and reacting quickly to emerging trends.
- Presenting concepts and ranges to senior stakeholders.
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the design team.
- Building strong relationships with suppliers to drive innovation in fabric, wash, print and construction.

Qualifications

- Has significant experience designing womenswear Jersey.
- Demonstrates strong trend forecasting and commercial awareness.
- Has excellent CAD, sketching and range-building skills.
- Understands the Topshop customer and brand aesthetic.
- Can balance creativity with commercial performance.
- Is highly organised and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Has strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Is passionate about culture, fashion, music, art and emerging trends
