About the Role

As a Senior Integrated Designer, you will play a key role in defining, evolving and scaling Tesco's visual brand expression across customer touchpoints. Working as part of the Creative Studio and in close partnership with Brand Expression, you will create distinctive design systems, assets and creative frameworks that bring our brand strategy to life, enabling consistent, high-quality execution across digital, print, social, in-store and motion channels.

Combining strategic thinking with exceptional creative craft, you'll help shape how customers experience the Tesco brand, translating brand principles into compelling and scalable creative solutions. As a trusted creative partner, you'll contribute to the continued growth of Brand Expression capability within Creative Studio, championing innovation, consistency and creative excellence across the business.

You will be responsible for

  • Developing and evolving Tesco's visual brand expression across a range of customer-facing touchpoints.
  • Creating distinctive design systems, brand assets, toolkits and frameworks that drive consistency while allowing for creative flexibility.
  • Bringing brand strategy, positioning and principles to life through engaging and scalable creative solutions.
  • Ensuring brand assets and guidelines are consistently applied across digital, print, social, motion and in-store channels.
  • Collaborating closely with Brand Expression, Marketing Comms, Content, UX and Creative Studio teams to deliver seamless and connected brand experiences.
  • Championing exceptional creative craft and helping to raise the quality and consistency of design output across the business.
  • Influencing stakeholders through clear creative thinking, strong visual storytelling and well-articulated design rationale.
  • Staying ahead of emerging design, technology and motion trends, bringing fresh ideas and innovation into Tesco's visual expression.
  • Supporting the development of new brand assets, creative frameworks and design principles that enhance brand distinctiveness.
  • Acting as a brand guardian, ensuring all work aligns with established standards while identifying opportunities to evolve and strengthen the brand.
  • Helping to grow Brand Expression capability within the Creative Studio by contributing to ways of working, processes and team development.
  • Coaching and supporting junior designers, freelancers and creative partners where required.
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.

You will need

  • Significant experience in integrated design, brand design or visual identity development within an agency, in-house brand team or creative studio.
  • Proven experience creating, evolving and implementing brand identities, design systems, toolkits and scalable creative frameworks.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional creative craft across digital, print, motion and experiential touchpoints, with excellent typography, layout, art direction and visual storytelling skills.
  • Deep understanding of brand identity systems, visual expression, design principles and how to translate brand strategy into distinctive customer-facing creative solutions.
  • Confidence using Figma and modern design collaboration tools, with an understanding of DAM platforms and workflow management systems.
  • Experience developing adaptable, modular design approaches that work effectively across multiple channels, formats and customer touchpoints.
  • Strong presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional partners through clear creative rationale.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, moving confidently between concept development, design execution and implementation.
  • A good understanding of digital-first design approaches, customer experience principles, animation and motion design, and emerging creative technologies.
  • Experience balancing brand consistency with creative innovation, experimentation and continuous improvement.
  • To be comfortable working within complex organisations, collaborating across multiple business functions and using agile ways of working and iterative design methodologies.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring or supporting designers and creative partners is desirable.
