Senior Designer (Packaging)

About the Role
Our agency partner is an independent branding and packaging design agency with studios in Liverpool and Stockport. They specialise in helping consumer brands stand out through strategic thinking, distinctive branding and exceptional packaging design, working with both household FMCG names and exciting challenger brands.
They're looking for a talented Mid-Weight Designer with a passion for packaging design to join their growing creative team.
This is a brilliant opportunity to work across a wide variety of food and drink brands, developing creative concepts, crafting beautiful packaging and collaborating with strategists to create work that delivers real commercial impact. Alongside packaging projects, you'll also have the opportunity to work on wider brand activations, retail design and shopper marketing campaigns.
You'll work closely with the Creative Director and wider team, playing an important role in shaping both client work and the future growth of the agency.
IMPORTANT: Packaging design agency experience is essential for this role. Unfortunately, designers from digital, UX or purely marketing backgrounds won't be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Brand & Packaging Design
- Develop creative concepts and packaging designs for leading FMCG brands and emerging challenger brands.
- Produce beautifully crafted packaging artwork from concept through to final presentation.
- Create branded visuals for retail activations, shopper marketing and wider brand campaigns.

Creative Collaboration
- Work closely with the Creative Director and strategy team to bring ideas to life.
- Collaborate with the technical production team to ensure designs translate seamlessly into print.
- Contribute ideas that strengthen both client brands and the agency's own creative output.
Agency Life
- Support the development of the agency's own brand and marketing assets across digital channels.
- Confidently manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Work collaboratively across a small, ambitious team where everyone gets stuck in.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience within a packaging design agency working on FMCG brands.
- A strong portfolio showcasing packaging design, conceptual thinking and exceptional creative craft.
- Excellent Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills.
- Strong Mac visualising skills.
- A solid understanding of branding and designing to a strategic positioning.
- Excellent attention to detail and a genuine passion for producing outstanding creative work.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- A collaborative, positive attitude and willingness to roll your sleeves up.
IMPORTANT: We can only consider designers with experience working in a packaging design agency on major FMCG brands. Applications from Digital Designers, UX Designers or candidates without packaging agency experience won't be considered.
