Studio La Plage

We are Studio La Plage, an award-winning creative agency based in London working with some of the world’s best-known brands. From audience-first campaigns to brand storytelling, design, production, experiential, and digital, our work is made by people who believe the details matter. Everything we create is strategically rigorous, creatively ambitious, and rooted in a deep understanding of the role brands play in the conversations that matter. We help brands simplify the complex, explore the biggest and most challenging issues, and forge deep connections with any audience, through human truth and creative mastery.

Craft earns attention. Intent creates connection.

As part of MHP Group, our work is shaped by deep sector expertise. Across consumers, financial services, technology, and healthcare, we bring insight earned from years navigating complex, regulated, and fast-moving environments. That perspective sharpens our intent and pushes our craft further, every time.

You’ll be given real responsibility from day one, alongside the support you need to develop your skills and the opportunity to help shape work that makes a genuine impact.

This is a hybrid role, with three non-set days each week in our London studio and the flexibility to work from home for the remaining two.

Role overview

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Designer who combines strong brand and visual communication skills with the ability to bring ideas to life through motion.

You’ll be a talented conceptual thinker, confident in developing new brands, evolving existing identities, and creating distinctive brand worlds. Your work will be informed by a clear understanding of brands’ positioning, audience, and culture.

Systems thinking is central to the role. You’ll create and develop coherent, flexible brand identities and visual systems that can be applied confidently across print, digital, social, presentations, campaigns, events, and other communications. You’ll translate strategic ideas into beautifully crafted and engaging experiences, ensuring every expression feels consistent and connected.

Motion is an important part of the role. You’ll use animation and movement to bring brands, campaigns, and digital experiences to life, from simple animated assets and social content to more considered motion systems for brand identities and interactive experiences.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You’ll develop concepts, present creative ideas internally and to clients, interpret briefs, and use research and insight to inform your thinking. Working across print, campaigns, digital, and motion, you’ll take projects from initial concept and ideation through to final artwork and delivery.

Projects will include developing brand identities and visual systems, creating campaign and communications assets, designing digital experiences, and shaping identities for conferences, events, and other branded experiences. You’ll work across a broad range of subjects, audiences, and scales, collaborating with colleagues across strategy, creative, digital, production, and teams across the wider MHP Group.

We’re looking for someone who is genuinely curious about complex subject matter and excited by the challenge of turning interesting, sometimes abstract ideas into clear and compelling visual communications.

You’ll be confident presenting and pitching your work, clearly articulating your creative thinking and design rationale, verbally, in writing, and through the work itself. You’ll bring clients and colleagues along with your thinking, inspiring confidence through a combination of vision, craft, and reliable delivery.

Who You Are:

  • You have 7+ years of design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating conceptual depth, strong brand thinking, and work across a range of project types, formats, and scales.
  • You have strong experience creating and developing brand identities, visual systems, and communications.
  • You combine conceptual thinking with an exceptional level of design craft.
  • You can generate original concepts and creative ideas for print, digital, motion, and multimedia projects.
  • You have strong motion design skills and experience using animation to bring brands, campaigns, and digital experiences to life.
  • You understand how to develop motion principles and systems as part of a wider brand identity, rather than treating animation as a standalone output.
  • You have excellent visual judgement, with strong foundations in typography, layout, colour, and image-making.
  • You’re passionate about visual storytelling and can communicate complex ideas in a clear, engaging, and accessible way.
  • You can use Figma to develop wireframes, page structures, and interactive prototypes, with an understanding of user journeys, accessibility, and responsive design.
  • You’re confident presenting and pitching creative work, explaining your rationale, and responding constructively to questions and feedback.
  • You can manage multiple projects at different stages, from initial brief and concept development through to final artwork and delivery.
  • You have solid production knowledge, including preparing work for print and handing digital designs over effectively to developers.
  • You’re highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects, as well as Figma, PowerPoint, and Google Slides.
  • You’re proactive, curious, and positive, with the confidence to work independently, solve problems, and challenge thinking constructively.
  • You enjoy collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and contribute thoughtful, constructive creative feedback.
  • You’re approachable, inclusive, and supportive of the wider team.
  • You have strong cultural awareness and remain curious about the world beyond design.
  • You maintain exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship, ensuring every final output meets the highest creative and technical standards.
  • You stay informed about emerging technologies, tools, and platforms relevant to branding, visual communication, motion, and creativity.
