Senior Despatch Operative
As a Senior Despatch Operative, you will play an important role in ensuring blinds, shutters, curtains, awnings and associated products are accurately sorted, processed and despatched across all Hillarys Group business channels, including Hillarys, Custom West, Specialist Products, Arena and Hillarys Web Customers.

In this fast-paced role, you'll help ensure products reach the right destination, on time and in perfect condition, while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, safety and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Load, unload and move blinds, curtains, shutters, awnings and associated products safely and efficiently.
- Sort and allocate products accurately to the correct cages and distribution routes.
- Ensure all products are handled with care to prevent damage during movement and storage.
- Carry out end-of-day checks to ensure all orders are accounted for and ready for transport.
- Complete basic administration tasks, including scanning products, updating SAP records, checking exceptions and printing delivery paperwork.
- Arrange shipments through external courier systems and communicate delivery updates when required.
- Support the smooth and efficient operation of the despatch function by maintaining high standards of accuracy and organisation.
- Follow Health & Safety procedures at all times and report any concerns promptly.

What We Are Looking For
- Previous warehouse, logistics, distribution or despatch experience is desirable.
- Basic literacy, numeracy and computer skills.
- Physically fit with the ability to undertake manual handling activities.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive, flexible and resilient when working under pressure.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive approach with a commitment to delivering excellent standards and customer service.
