We think code is super important, but ultimately – it's about building great products. We’re looking for someone who wants to build great products.
We want someone who's there from the start. In the discovery, in the early conversations with the client, building prototypes to test whether an idea is worth building. And then the person who goes away and builds it properly. It’s more than code. That person is technically capable, but just as comfortable on a call with a client as they are in a codebase. Someone who cares about the outcome, not just the output. Of course, AI is now a huge part of what we do, we're looking for someone who embraces that. someone who understands that developers must be technically competent, but that hand chiseling code is not the majority of the role anymore. The fun bits have moved away from writing code, and towards building and managing agents to do that, and towards building genuinely great products faster than has ever been possible before.
About Us
We're Wubbleyou. Wubbleyou's mission is to assemble a team of great people - treat them well, and then build great software to make the world a better place. We bring awesome web and mobile tech products to market, which allow businesses to create scale they didn't have before. Read about us here.
Our Clients
B2B service business founders who've built something successful and now want to productise it. They have proven expertise, real clients, and strong demand, but growth still relies too heavily on people and delivery. We turn what they know into licensable tech products: SaaS platforms, data tools, and B2B applications that create recurring revenue and real exit value. We turn ambitious B2B service businesses, into market disrupters with market leading tech products.
The Role
We're a team of 10. We build on PHP/Laravel, TypeScript/Vue, and Terraform. AI is already central to how we work - our developers use it to generate code every day. The way software gets built has genuinely changed, and we've leaned into that.
What that means in practice: the premium isn't on writing code line by line anymore. It's on understanding what clients actually need, using AI intelligently to build it, reviewing output critically, and delivering things that work properly and add real value. We're moving from selling time to selling outcomes. That changes what we need from a developer.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
This role is for someone who sits at the intersection of technically strong, client-confident, and genuinely motivated to build great products. You'll work alongside our Lead Developer as a peer - bouncing ideas, owning workstreams, and helping shape how we build going forward. You'll also be the kind of person a client trusts, because you understand their problem and you communicate clearly.
We're not precious about job titles. A strong mid-weight who works brilliantly with clients and AI is more interesting to us than a technically senior person who just wants to close tickets. What matters is the person.
Why This Role Exists
We're evolving how we deliver. AI tools do a significant chunk of the coding - and that frees up space for developers who can think bigger, engage earlier with clients, and build things that genuinely solve the right problems. We need someone who thrives in that environment, not someone waiting for a spec to arrive.
That means:
- Using AI coding tools as a core part of how you work - not just generating code, but reviewing, critiquing, and improving it
- Working directly with clients to understand what they need, validate direction, and prototype early
- Taking end-to-end ownership of workstreams - from understanding the brief to shipping something that works
- Building reusable, well-considered code that raises the standard for everyone
- Spotting problems before they become tickets and pushing work forward without being chased
- Supporting the Lead Developer and helping unblock the rest of the team when needed
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role means clients feel confident in what we deliver, the Lead Developer feels genuinely supported, and the team's output is better because you're in it.
You'll know you're succeeding when:
- Clients trust you - they feel heard, and what you build solves their actual problem
- Work you own arrives at QA in a state that just works
- The Lead Developer has more headspace because you're taking things off their plate
- You're bringing ideas - for how we build better, use AI better, or deliver more value
- The team moves faster because blockers get spotted and resolved, not sat on
Who You Are
You're someone who thinks like a builder and an owner. You want to ship things that matter, not just complete a list. You're comfortable in a client conversation, you ask good questions, and you represent the company well without needing a script.

You use AI tools actively and intelligently - you know that generated code can look clean and still be wrong, and you review it with a critical eye. You're excited about what AI makes possible, not threatened by it.
You don't need a rigid hierarchy to do your best work. You're happy to lead when it's your thing, and happy to support when it's not.
You are:
- Technically strong across PHP/Laravel and TypeScript/Vue
- Comfortable working directly with clients - asking questions, validating ideas, and managing expectations clearly
- Proactive - you spot problems, suggest fixes, and push work forward without being asked
- A builder at heart - you get satisfaction from shipping great work, not from closing tasks
- Genuinely engaged with AI tooling and how it's changing the craft
- Independent - you own what you're working on, you don't wait to be managed
- UK-based - required for infrastructure access and compliance
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone with:
- Solid hands-on experience with PHP/Laravel and TypeScript/Vue
- A track record of building things end-to-end, not just contributing to someone else's work
- Experience working with or alongside clients - understanding a brief, asking the right questions, communicating progress
- Active use of AI coding tools as part of your current workflow
- Strong instincts for code quality, reusability, and what production-ready actually means
- The confidence to say when something isn't right and the clarity to explain why
Desirable, not essential:
- Experience in an agency environment working across multiple client projects
- Familiarity with Terraform or infrastructure-level work
- Experience prototyping with clients to validate direction before committing to build
- A view on how AI is changing software delivery - and opinions about what good looks like
How We Work
User-centred: We design with empathy and validate with real users.
Quality at pace: We iterate towards outcomes; frequent show and tells beat big reveals.
Psychological safety: We focus on facts and learning, not blame.
Partnership mindset: We build long-term products and relationships that deliver meaningful ROI.
Should You Apply?
If you're technically capable, independent, and genuinely excited about building great products in an AI-first team - we'd love to hear from you.
We're looking for someone who'll build something here, not just fill a gap. If that's you, get in touch.
